In select vintages we set aside carefully chosen parcels of wine to create our Limited Release Blend- a readily accessible expression of Vriesenhof’s renowned terroir.
Nose: Bright red fruit, tobacco pouch and pencil shavings- The classic aromas of Claret. Palate: Fine grained tannins and bright, fresh acidity provide length and character. Juicy red fruit flavours are balanced by a fine, savoury finish.
A blend of Merlot (39%), Cabernet Franc (36%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%). Wood maturation is a combination of 1st/2nd/3rd and 4th fill French oak for 18 months. (Alc 13.44%, RS 1.05/l, TA 6.02g/l, pH 3.46)
